TrumpCut at random every game. It beats the other three suits.

Seven of hearts Ten of hearts King of hearts, still in hand

Don't be last

The deck runs out, you try to get rid of all your cards. Whoever is last holding cards is the durak. The fool deals next.

♠♠♠
Tolya, a kid with a bowl cut and rosy cheeks

Tolya

Толя

Still learning the ropes. Practices against his grandma, quotes her constantly.

"I meant to do that."
♠♠♠♠
Zina, round glasses and a red headscarf

Zina

Зина

Sharp from dacha summers. Punishes the obvious move with a gardener's patience.

"Not my first rodeo, dear."
♠♠♠
Semyonych, flat cap, squint and a serious moustache

Semyonych

Семёныч

Thirty years on the night train. He has seen your trick before, twice, in worse weather.

"Not bad. For a passenger."
♠♠♠♠
Baba Shura, silver bun, warm shawl and small sharp eyes

Baba Shura

Баба Шура

Counts every card since 1962. Reads the whole endgame and never bluffs about it.

"I count. That is the whole secret."

Cheat mode.
Yes, really.

Flip one switch and the table goes dishonest on purpose. Everyone knows. That is the game.

  • Sneak a wrong card into the attack.
  • Stack two cards and play them as one.
  • Call it when you smell a trick. Right, and they eat the pile.
  • Wrong call: you eat it.

Caught once, you take the table. Twice, you play face up. Three times, you are the durak on the spot. The bots watch the felt too. ♠ Baba Shura refuses to sit at these tables.

Small game, long menu

Rivals, not sliders

Difficulty is a person. Tolya blunders in waves, Zina punishes greed, Semyonych counts what is gone, Baba Shura sees endings.

A coach, after

Every finished game gets a review: the move you played, the move that was better, and a school grade you will argue with.

The daily deal

One puzzle position a day, the same for everyone. Solve it in fewer moves than your friends and say so at dinner.

Offline is first class

No signal, no problem. Planes, metro tunnels and the dacha with no wifi are all fine tables. Your rivals are already in your pocket.

Show them how you won

Send a replay link after a good game. Your friends watch it back move by move and argue about your third turn.

All of it free Handmade, all of it

The faces are drawn in code, the sounds are built in code, and every line of table talk was written by a person who plays.

Fair questions

What exactly is durak?

The most played card game in the Russian speaking world. Two to six players attack and defend with a 36 card deck; the last player holding cards loses and is the durak, the fool. There is no single winner, only one loser. It teaches you fast.

Is it really free?

Yes. No price tag, no paywall, and no forced ads, ever. If ads come at all they will be optional ones you choose to watch for cosmetics. That is a design rule, not a promise of convenience.

Do I need an account?

No. Pick a name, sit down. Online play works as a guest; your table, stats and streaks live on your device.

Where can I play right now?

In any browser at play.drk.gg, phone or desktop. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for. A drk.gg/j/CODE link from a friend takes you straight to their table.

Is online play fair?

The deck is shuffled by the referee server, never by a player's device, and every move is validated server side. Leaving a live game counts as the loss it is. In cheat mode the cheating is the point, and it follows the same rules for everyone.

Which variants are in?

Podkidnoy (throw in) and perevodnoy (transfer), with 24, 36 or 52 cards and two to six seats. On top of that: 2v2 with a partner against another pair, offline or online, a ranked ladder with calendar month seasons, and cheat rooms where the dishonest moves are part of the rules. All of it is in the game today.
